I'm going to need to buy a boost a pump for some new power on E85. I already have a triple 255 setup in the tank. 2 pumps come on via hobbs switch. Can you safely run 1 40 amp BAP on 2 255's?

not saying that its safe on a camaro... I also know for a lightning it only takes about 20-22% more fuel to run e-85... but thats a different animal

I was just curious because it appears KB sells a dual pump boost a pump...so I wasn't sure if it was a must or it's just them trying to make a buck

me personally if im pumping that much fuel id rather have a big single pump... what happens if your WOT and one pump fails... you go lean but still keep running. At least with a big single you'll shutdown

If you're using more fuel than one 255 can pump you might be right. But if you're using Nitrous and your one pump dies, the next thing you hear will cost lots of money

as much as I'd like to run a single pump i'm not sure it's worth the issues. I read on yellowbullet all the time A1000's will drop pressure over 50psi-other issues, magnafuel pumps will overheat 45 mins to an hour of running. Plus the Walbro pumps are proven to run 100K miles....how could you go wrong? The dual/triple 255 in tank setup is proven to work fantastic. Look how fast Vee8 and Mightymouse have gone with a triple 255 setup and have had no issues.
