Default stock injector ?????

I have a 2000 trans am with 120k on it. I just bought a ls6 intake from a 02 with 50k on it with injectors. Can I use the bigger injectors with out a tune without any issues and would there be any performance benefit other then being low mileage. Thanks in advanced

If the injector size is changed you must retune.

You should be fine without a tune...but to get the most out of your intake I would tune it. The injector size is very minor from one to the other, not that big a difference.

Going from 26 to 28 pound injectors requires a tune or you will run very rich when not in closed loop.

Please stop telling people to install injectors without a corresponding tune and I won't come off that way. Sure its inconvenient and not very much fun to wait to install new parts, but it's the right way to do it. And you won't pay for the damage if anything messes up, so have some moral responsibility in your posts.

The difference is only 1 1/2% he is better off spending the money on something like a set of headers then doing the $500 tune. Thats all.
26.5 lb. vs 28lb.
