is there a easy way to remove old gas ?

i have a transam been setting up for a few years, and im finally getting around to fixing it, and was wondering if there is a easy way to remove all the old gas ?

or gas treatment maybe ?

Yup there is, take the quick disconnect clip off of your fuel filter. Place a rubber hose on end of fuel filter, turn the key on and let her pump away. Pump will start due to it trying to prime the fuel system. I dont see why that wouldn't work.

Or take a 1" drill bit and go to town.

When I needed to remove fuel I used a pump we use for race fuel that u hand crank but I have the trap door done also.

should i stop before it get to complete empty so i dont suck up debris into the pump or damage it from running it dry ?

I once disconnected the return line on an f-150, added some hose and just let it run. Extracted 3/4 tank in about 15 min.

yea just get it low. guestimate about a gallon or two left and refill with good fresh fuel and you should be good to go. you can watch the fuel gage or have some one else watch it. i think you should have 2-3 gallons left when it hits the "E" mark on your gage. shouldnt take long at all.
