The car is not my DD. Glad to hear your 99+ went well but the 98 is a totally different animal with the steel tank. Just hope the vendor changes the filter sock mount to something manageable.

I think I dropped the little ring once, picked it up and put it right on with a small socket. And I'm about as bad as they come for breaking stuff or messing up. Mine isn't very loud and the fit and finish is top notch. Any increase in noise is worth it to know you have metal gears in your pump rather than stock plastic ones. My stock one was louder than my 98 racetronix but I'm pretty sure the stock one was about to blow.

( I actually didn't want to put mine in the gas tank, you guys make them wayyy too well to hide them, I was very impressed when I unboxed it and I have tons of high dollar crap on my car that didn't impress me)

Racetronix 255 pump with hotwire kit was installed in my 93 lt1. Great pump and easy install.

my feedback is that their customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. Also be aware they do not back up the product they sell.
