Help with injector connector

Help with injector connector I'm working on my 99 5.3 silverado and can't seem to get the connectors off the injectors. here are the pics first one is before i pull up on the gray clip and the second is after I've pulled up on it and push the black tab. I'm i not pulling the gray one up far enough? Thanks

You should just squeeze the black tab and pull. Sometimes those truck clips are a bear. Push the whole clip in to take off any pressure, squeeze, and pull it out. It might just take some good effort.

Thanks for the reply. I thought I was doing it right with the retainer, it being a bear ain't telling half of it. I'm just down to the connectors of pulling this intake. Thanks again!
