Red face Tuning With 160# High Impdence injectors

After finally dialing in my tune with 80# Siemens injectors im switching to 160#. Stock PCM
Ive heard people having idling issues with a Boost Ref Regulator.

Im running a base fuel pressure of 58 and its ref to climb with boost. What does my Inj Flow rate vs. Kpa need to look like with the 160s? Anyone got a tune file I can look at?

Thanks

You need to put the base down to 40-45psi.

so my fuel pressure needs to be lowered on that regulator?

im having a hard time tuning it with 58psi at the reg and 40 across the inj flow rate vs kpa table.

i zeroed most of my ve out and its still rich.

You need to set your fuel pressure regulator down in the 40's. Pull the vacuum line off your fpr than adjust it. Your IFR table should be what your injectors flow at what ever psi you set your frp at. At what fuel pressure are your 160lb injectors rated at?

what data or other injector tables have you modified? do you have data? what type of injectors are they?

chances are your short pulse width and etc tables need to be adjusted to accommodate the new injectors. Set your fuel pressure BASE as 43.5psi and I believe that is what the 160# injectors are rated at , so then your IFR table depending on your UNITS should be 160#/hour or it should be in Grams/second I think

what car/computer is this on? could you post the tune file?

43.5 is what i lowered the pressure to and 43.5 they flow 160#.

The tune is ALOT better but needs work its all around rich. im going to adjust the offset vs volts vs VAC table. as i have not even edited it since the 80# injectors.

Not sure what pulse width the injectors are idling at

here is where im at now. ive scaled the ve even more. the car idles around 12.2 AFR and cruises around 14. I can not lean the idle out NO MATTER what i do. Lowering values in the VE seem to do NOTHING

When i stab it, the car it goes right to 10.0

Any help?

the car is not trying to read off the maf. ive set it to disable throught the ses lights.

also the car is running pretty good my only issue is that the car stays pegged at 12.0-12.2 AFR idling, no matter what changes i make it still idles at 12.0-12.2. everything else is good driving around and WOT is good

It's still referencing the MAF. You have the MAF SES codes completely disabled, needs to be set to 2. Unplug your MAF.

Low impedance 160s with a driver are dirty down low but still plenty tunable. Definitely lower your base pressure down to something around 40.

you should be able to run those injectors down to a 1.3ms pulsewidth. can you get some information on those injectors?

if you get some information on those 160# injectors, are they siemens? are they bosch? what are they?

you should be able to get them to idle at near stoich at 43.5psi
