Default dual bosch 044's in series

I'm shooting for 800-900whp and i already have a bosch 044 in the system. I want to add another for my new setup and was wondering if two 044's in series running at the same time would do the trick. I want to stay away from a parallel system and hobbs switches. I want to keep it simple and not pay $40 for a couple y blocks. Thanks.

Hey mate, I wouldnt put them in series, they are vain pumps and if one stops it may restrict flow or even stop it.

Damn that sucks. Parallel it is. How about Hobbs switches, are they necessary? Does it make any difference with both pumps running all the time? Thanks

Running them in series would be totally pointless.

If you need flow, they must be in parallel. I just run mine all the time, and have done for about 5 years...maybe even 6 years.

And you dont need a Y-block. A simple tee piece works just fine. A Y may be nicer though

I ran both of mine off a single 30A fuse and single relay. Means if there is a problem with either, both pumps will stop, so there is no risk to the engine.

Under most circumstances, they seem to draw around 22A

I used -8 lines from both pumps, into a -8 tee then onwards to the engine via -8

My tank to pump side is not ideal, as I only had a single outlet on my tank, so just used a single Aeromotive 100mic filter when then tee'd -10 into each pump.
I will upgrade this over the winter though.

But again, it has ran totally fine like this for the last few years.

Stevie is correct!! I see about 11-13 amps at 72 psi and upwards of 18 amps each, when the filter is dirty. When the filter is really dirty, the PDM is tripped at 20 amps, and I run the car on the reserve pump. I monitor filter life based off pump amperage. But most cars dont have a Motec PDM

Those pumps are great, youll really like them. They are very very durable.

Thanks for all the info guys i liked the single bosch 044 on my 5.3 so I'm sure I'll like two even better. I have two outlets on my fuel cell so I'll run a pump from both outlets then t it off and send it to the fuel fails. This system should support atleast 1000hp correct?

2 x 044's in parallel will support 1000hp.

On the supras, we make 700 rwhp on one using gas, and 1050 with two, using e85.

On the vettes, we've made 1100 on q16.

Spend the money on a Magnafuel Y...Youll create less stress on the pumps.

Just because a squirrel will sometimes find a nut doesnt mean he is full of a good meal.

I will only need one y so i probably will end up with one of them instead of a t. It's just rediculous how much they charge for them
