Did I put to big injectors in?

I modified my 2002 SS camaro with ported LS6 heads (11.7:1), LS6 cam, 36 lbs injector, long tube headers, and 80mm throttle body. reading the other threads,it appears I put to large of an injector in car. What problem can I expect?

No problems if you have your car properly tuned. You just need to have the duty cycle on the injectors turned down. Your probley running pig rich right now, despite your upgrades. Your PCM thinks it still has stock injectors and has thier pulse rate set way to high for such a large injector.

Get it to a dyno with LS1 Edit, or get yourself some tuning software and a laptop and do it yourself.

I am no expert by no means, however, I have essentially the same mods as you, except for a larger cam and heads and after many discussions with many vendors and resident ls1 experts, I was told the 28.8 injectors will have no problems handling 450rwhp. And this is not maxing out the injectors. 30lb/hr however, would not be a bad ideal and give you a bit better duty cycle.

Hi Folks
Thanks for the inputs, I am planning on purchasing LS1EDIT or a preprogrammed unit from Superchip. I have mixed feels on which way I should go. I picked the Injectors because SLP offered them and with the changes I was making, a little extra would hurt or maybe it will.

When I put the SVO 30# injectors in that are around 36# my car started the first time, bogged down and stalled and I couldn't start it again. I put the new tune in and the car started right up.

hi Bill
The car starts and runs amazing well with the stock tuning. I don't undestand why but I am not complaining. I have autotap and EFILive V5, they both tell me a fuel air ratio of 14.6:1 & WOT drops to 11:1. I still plan to change the tuning - I am sure with tuning, the car will really scream - I hope.
