Default Fuel Fittings and Lines

Looks like Aeroquip has switched to "Goodridge"... Aeroquip has seemed to me to be one of the highest quality fittings and hoses on the market - What is everyone else using? Jegs and other places are selling the rest of the fittings, but i have always ordered from aeroquip.cc because of their very low prices.

What are you using? Anything negative?

I use Fragola stuff whenever I can and I couldn't be happier. They always go nice on and have been leak-free.

I've used Jegs fittings a couple times and they worked well, too.

Ya know, I do want to say one more thing about Fragola fittings: My experience is that they're a little thicker, and as a result, the ID of the fitting is a little smaller. In theory, this has an impact on flow. Contrast that with Earl's fittings and Aeroquip fittings - they are a little thinner, and have a larger flow area.

For instance, I have two -6AN to push-on hose fittings in front of me. One by Fragola, one by Earl's.

Here's the info:

Fragola
Inside Diameter: .240"
Area: .045"

Earl's
Inside Diameter: .280"
Area: .062"

Flow is a function of the area of the fitting. By this measure, if I'm doing the math correctly, the Earl's fitting flows about 38% more than the Fragola fitting.

Math:
.062 - .045 = .017
.017 / .045 = .3778
(I could be doing the math wrong. Somehow I always mess this up. If it's wrong, please correct me and I'll change it!)

That is some good information - I really appreciate it!
