Default -8AN & -6AN in the fuel unit

How are you guys doing it with a bulk head fitting? I do not see any room to put the two fittings...
Unless you are cutting out the three factory fuel fittings on the outside.

I am going to do a dual pump set up. Sending the rails with a -8AN and return will be the -6AN. I would like to use 90* bulkhead fittings over the factory outlet. There is no room on top of the fuel hat for these two fittings, I am wondering what others are doing.

Found this on EBAY, not going to buy it, but great example of how I could do it!

others are cutting open the top of the fuel hat and putting those in with goop around them to keep them sealed. or there just using the -8 for the feed and using the stock feed line as a return to keep the clutter down.

Why use 90's when there are fittings that allow the stock setup work?

Thank you!

I would but there is a big difference between the factory fittings and a -8AN feed fitting. Seems like that defeats the purpose.

True, but since it is so close to the pump, the losses will be minimal. I used adapters to hook to the stock outlet and ran -8 from there.

Very true that the pumps are closer. I'll do a calculation to see loss. Good idea!
What connectors are you speaking of..?

Quick disconnect type that goes from OEM to AN (3/8 to -8.....5/16 to -6). Lonnie uses something similar on his kits. His system seem to work fine

Working on a LS swap on my 74' GMC C10. I just got a 91 Chevy Blazer

gas tank (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rnb-576-313) and a 4 port sending unit with built in bracket for an intank fuel pump (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/rnb-692-033).

I also have Aeromotives 340 intank fuel pump (http://www.summitracing.com/parts/aei-11169). I'm hoping the pump will fit into this sending unit with no major mods. has anyone done this set up?

As mentioned in this thread people have used factory sending units to AN fittings. The sending unit I have has the flat flares with an o rings. What is the proper AN fitting for this set up?

Do the fittings hold up to the 58 PSI the EFI runs on? I know this tank and sending unit were only rated for TBI 14PSI.

The GMC was fed by a 6 AN fuel line when it was carbureted which now will be a fuel return line. Do I need to run a vent line to a canister?

Pictures and build out to come...........
