External Pump makes noie but no fuel
So, I put a sump in my tank to minimize any potential problems. I ran some 1/2 aluminum fuel line from the sump to the external pump. Started the car, it idled for 10 minutes, drove a 1/8mile and died I put mmore gas in it it ran a 1/4 mile and never ran again.
I figured there was to much length from the sump to the pump location so i removed the fuel lines from the sump, and ran the fuel line from the original location ( intank pick-up line)
THE PROBLEM AT THIS POINT IS: The F****** pump starts makes noise but does not move fuel. I went as far as removing the pumps intake side (sticking it directly in a gas can) and removing the flow side so that i could watch it come out and having my buddy run the pump. !!! NO FUEL !!!
Is it ossible to have a PUMP that wont PUMP despite the fact i can hear it pump? Never primed it before smh.

Most pumps are made to push, not pull fuel.
The pump should always be lower than the tank so that gravity supplies the pump with fuel. Some gear type pumps can suck fuel, but most vane type do not do this very well. Your pump should be a gear type pump.
Also I recommend no smaller than -8 for the inlet side of these pumps.
Your 1/2" is OK...
Did you by chance clamp this pump to the frame?
Did you use a rubber isolator?
These pumps do not like any distortion of the outer housing.

Tek screwed to the under side of the body of the car.
Did you use a rubber isolator?
I used the bracket that it comes with along with the foam insulator.
