I got a 99 Z28 Ls1 Camaro with a custom grind cam 234/240 113 626 and 232cc 799 heads ported cam and head from AI. And a fast 92 intake monifold with a 92m nick williams throttle body ftp lid setup everything is already installed. Along with all the support mods, i have 42lb injectors haven't installed yet. Would i be able to start the car just to hear it idle and see if everything is running right like no leaks or catastrophic failure. Obviously it's gonna run funky without tune but just want to make sure it's ok to start before tune. And should i start it with the stock injectors or with the 42lb injectors??

yes. you should start the car and check to see if it runs or have any problems. 42lb injectors

Are you tuning it, or having someone else tune it? With that cam and 42 lb injectors on a stock tune, it likely won't start.

Worried that the cylinders will get washed? Tuner said come towed with the 42s installed, but i should be okay if start it and let it idle i wont drive it.

Someone else is tuning it, and it doesn't have a stock tune it's been tuned before for egr delete and LT headers x pipe slp lid 4.10 gears and stage one clutch. I just want to start it to make sure it's okay then i'll take it to the tuner.

99 LS1s had 26 lb injectors. 42 lb injectors are 62% larger. They will dump 62% more fuel than the engine needs. That, on top of a large cam (which makes the car run rich at idle), will prevent the car from starting. This is why I said, it likely won't start. Unless the tune is already scaled for 42 lb injectors, you'll just flood the hell out of it.

That won't be good don't want to wash down anything! What if i start it with the the stock injectors just for like a minute or two? Would that be a bad idea todo?
