Aeromotive 340 install/problems
I just had a Aeromotive 340 intank pump installed in my 98 TA and now the fuel gauge is way off! It came with a fuel regulator and had a 6 AN ss braided line installed as a fuel return line.
I'll fill up the tank and it will say its half full. Whenever the needle gets low close to empty, the car will shut down when I slow down to come to a stop(or even while turning) as if the pump can't manage to suck fuel or somethin. I fill up the tank and this problem goes away. While idling, the fuel gauge pressure is just under 60 lbs.
Anyone ever had this happen to them? Advice? Was it simply installed wrong or do I need to adjust the fuel regulator?

I recently installed the same pump and my fuel gauge is still working properly. Didn't change anything, just swapped out the Racetronix pump. I try not get get below 1/4 tank just to be safe.

The pump wont affect the float
Shutting down near E is a common problem with these pumps overheating and shutting down aka starving your engine
When you pull the pump again, make sure the supplied fuel hose and clamps from the kit were not used. The supplied hose is not submersible and will dissolve in fuel. The clamps supplied are simple worm clamps rated at 14psi (coolant). These have a tendency to blow off in high pressure situations
