Default DIY TRIPLE PUMPS on the quick and cheap

photos gathered here now https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...hE?usp=sharing

Thanks to the people in this post for reminding & re-inspiring me.

3 way air manifold drilled inlet to 11/16 and tapped 1/2" NPT (for -8AN) $6

Some minor work inside to unshroud the ports, it was originally intended as a splitter not a collector.

I know I said I wouldn't but I did the trap door mod on my own ws6. I went to pull the tank and my TRZ anti-roll system is welded in the way!

Here is the set up donated from my formula, twin walbro's untouched in like 6 years got the car to where it is now.

Out with the old..In with the new! 3 brass 1/4npt to 5/16 barbs $6

3 gss340's from New Era Performance $300 shipped.

The fit.. no tighter than the twin pumps.. doh! Fun to get the level float in tho.

The results.... in HD

That is insain! Are the three pump setups more for a backup? You need two and having three is incase one fails, or do you need the flow from all three? Just curious.

not at all, failure has nothing to do with it. they are good for about 600hp each and i plan on making more than 1200 so had to go with 3 this year.

Are you going to run all threee all the time, or have them on a window when fuel pressure drops the next one kicks on.

You don't want fuel pressure to drop before the pump kicks in. They will be TPS referenced. Some also reference boost to turn the other pumps on.

Very nice, to bad you go through alll that work on such a nice triple and then butcher the **** out of the car with a friggin trap door ..

Takes 30 minutes to drop the tank if your flying solo people.. dont cut the **** out of your cars body because your too lazy to take 30 minutes to drop a heat shield and take out a few bolts.

true very true but still thats about as hack as you can go

Seriously.. cuttiing a hole in the body to swap a pump up is as butch as it gets.

If you dont have choice like MM you gotta do what you gotta do... but otherwise its just stupid to do that IMO. You can also make an argument for safety reasons as well if you wanted to but I guess but to each his own.

eatlead i have been doing hackjob work on my LS cars since 01. you shouldnt be so surprised I know my left from my right and removing a metal tank is a 2hr job on these cars without bars welded in front of it.

the 3 way manifold can be found at most tool or home improvement stores. or google 3 way air manifold. reminder that it comes wtih 3/8 npt inlet which i enlarged.

the car will run on one pump as usual out of boost. when i floor it the other two will cut on with tps as current.

the second pump relay will be upgraded from 30 to 40amps and the third pump will get its own wiring over to that relay and a fresh ground. fuse will probably go from 15 to 25A

this is a metal tank car.

Thanks for the writeup, after seeing that pic, I sure as hell don't blame you for doing a trap door. Besides almost every car made today (especially European) all have trap doors from the factory.

Sweet, i wonder if this could be done with a 02 tank (plastic)? I did my own DIY double, the best I recall, it seams like I would have to remove the entire bottom of the plastic bowl.
