Walboro Dying after 250 miles??
Is this thing dying after 250 of easy highway miles??
In the Walbro installation instructions it states to use high pressure fuel line but it doesn't define the difference between high pressure and cheaper regular rubber fuel line, nor its importance for a proper installation.
Now whether a partially collapsed fuel line would make the pump whine or burn up quicker...don't know. I would think it might.
My stock pump burned up in a half-city block running dry.

Yep, a blockage would make the pump whine. I had a problem with my stock pump, somehow some crap got in the tank, blocked up the filter, the blockage was almost oil like and done a good job of sealing the filter. The pump will try to suck and creates a vacuum, the fuel boils at low pressure and creates bubbles, its the bubbles that is making the whinning noise. It took me a couple of lunch breaks taking the pump out and cleaning the filter, but got there in the end. Had to clean the filter as its all part of one big assembly, the pump and sender unit all included, this is like $800 US dollars here in England. Almost got the Walbro, wont be long now.
