Default Fuel Issues

Ive got a 98 trans am with a D-1sc procharger on it. I put a new fuel pump in it when I did the supercharger. At the end of this season my fuel pressure gauge would drop from around the 46 pound mark down to about 10 pounds. Does this mean that pump is going out or could it be something else? I changed the fuel filter and that did nothing.

What is the base psi?
How is the system plumbed?
A drop that high could be an in tank connection leak, low volts, kinked plumbing, etc.

The pump doesn't determine pressure, the pressure regulator does. I would check that first.
