Default Custom fuel System

ive got a 99 TA that Id like to build a custom fuel system for, I'm in the process of building a turbo 5.3 to put in it. Making around 900whp. Could someone talk me through or post a diagram on how I'd need to plumb this in?

Twin walbro 255s,
-8 supply
-6 return
Fuel pressure regulator
Nasty performance rails,
96# injectors
Stock fuel tank

Any info is greatly appreciated
Thanks!

Like this, except you'll want to Y your two fuel pumps: http://www.magnafuel.com/products/kits/MP-4813.htm

Here's a good link of the process: http://mustangforums.com/forum/4-6l-...l-systems.html

I'm doing basically your same setup with same hp goals (slightly different parts). Your -8 supply/-6 return should be enough. With that being said, magnaflow recommended -12 from the tank to the first fuel filter, -10 to the rails, -8 return. The reason, I was told, is to keep volume up to the rails when the demand increases (and that it couldn't hurt).

I have an extra (brand new) walbro 255 if you're interested in saving a few $. What injectors are you going with?

Use the Y adapter in link nitro posted.

Hunt down the RIGHT GRADE wires that have gasoline or alcohol compliant insulation. The cheap wire insulation will eventually melt in the tank. Can't remember off-hand but I think mightymouse's twin tank how-to has the right p/n.

Your plan will work, I would suggest routing but I have to re-do mine after suspension and exhaust changed.

Thanks for the responses guys. How would I pipe this in to my stock fuel tank? Just run -8 to the nipple off the top of my drop in assembly with a hose clamp?

Use these Russell fittings.
Purchase the fittings with the U shaped screw on lock.
Do not use the type with the plastic lock they are known to blow off under pressure.

WoUld you happen to know what sizes I would need? Or exact part numbers? I don't have the fuel tank out yet and can't measure the nipples

Scroll down the Summit link the fitting size is stated.
The two fittings shown are 3/8 x -6 AN
The center is 15/16 x -6 AN.
The part numbers are listed in the link.

Those rails are for -6 so you might want to consider a -8 to dual -6 Y fitting behind the rails. Then a three way -6 y fitting in front of rails to your FPR to return. This way both rails and all injectors are fed equally, increasing your fuel systems limits (no more cylinder starvation).

Total fuel system:
dual walbro hotwired with in-tank Y fitting to merge both pumps to stock feed fitting
stock tank barb outlet to -8 adapter fitting
-8 feed from tank with inline filter up to engine bay
-8 feed to y fitting (-8 to dual -6)
dual -6 feed to both rails
dual -6 from rails to three way -6 Y fitting
-6 Y outlet to -6 boost referenced fpr
finally -6 return to stock tank return with adapter

Wish I had done this the first time, plastic push lock fittings on my Subaru finally gave out at 53psi base + 28psi boost reference = 81psi line pressure lol
