Question Is this a problem?

I went to reinstall my fuel rail and when trying to place the fuel rail back on I damaged the little plastic piece on the bottom of the injector. Cracked a few of them, and a few others have a small piece missing from them.

Plus I am having problems getting all the injectors to pop back in place when installing the fuel rail. Any suggestions or easier ways of doing it that I don't know of? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

If you have some pics that would be helpful.
The injector spray pattern might be screwed up if you broke the tip the way I think you're saying.
I always put a *little* petroleum jelly on the o-rings to get them to seat easily.

After using a little bit of oil and finding someone in the local area that had some extra 28# injectors I finally was able to get everything reinstalled. Although here is a pic of the piece that broke.

Yeah, no good. o-ring wouldn't seat right and probably cause a vaccum leak. Spray pattern maybe Ok...
