Default Fake WALBRO 450s?

I purchased these 2 WALBRO pumps in late January. They were installed into my car a couple months after that where they set unused while I completed the rest of the build. Well tonight I finished up all of my wiring in the engine bay and wanted to test the fuel pumps and they don't turn on so I pulled them out to find this corroded mess. Tank was dry no fuel inside and very little condensation. The pumps and the included clamps are very rusted which I would assume shouldn't happen for an e85 fuel pump. Both pumps are completely dead and don't function at all.
I believe these my be fake walbros and would like to hear you guys opinion. I have contacted the seller to see what he says.

Sorry man it was eBay. The seller says he has sold over 2400 of these with no issues. I call bullshit.

General rule of thumb, don't buy anything off Ebay. Almost guaranteed to be chinese knock off crap.

Yep lesson learned. It's insane how many of these fake pumps are out there and the people that have them probably have no idea..

Eww.. That sucks man. I've always had great luck with getting my Walbros from High Flow Fuel. I've never used their "house" brand but their Walbros seem legit and the prices can't be beat. I've ordered 5 so far with no failures. There is also usually discount codes floating around as well if you do a search. GL

You know that ethanol is hydroscopic, and once the water reaches a certain concentration highly corrosive as well?

A full tank would have been much better fwiw

Just look at your hose clamps, they look like they've been in the ocean for a year

If they were in gas, the hose clamps would look shiny, and new

There where a total of five hose clamps clamps in there 1 looked brand new still because it was from a local hardware store and was actually stainless. The other 4 look like that so why would one look good and all else look like ****.

What type of box did these come in?

How exactly did Walbro determine they're fake?

I bought my Walbro 450 from Pep Boys specifically to avoid getting a fake unit. They had to special order it from Keystone, who I assume (hope) buys directly from Walbro. Pricing was actually competitive with all of the online distributors.
