Default Biggest single pump question

Car is 02 Camaro, looking to see what the biggest pump you can run without causing trouble with stock pressure regulator and lines. Ive been reading for a couple days and you boosted guys with your double pumps of all sizes are killing my ability to search. I have niteous motor and Im debating pulling off the rail to avoid a stand alone and potential failure point. Motor is over 500whp alone unlocked and I'm running the usuall 255 and hot wire right now. Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

I was going to try a single 340. Almost still wish that I did as much as I had to hack the bucket to get the dual pumps in. If you're not going to go over 650rwhp I would try out the single 340 pump and see how far it takes you.

I wish I could go back and do the single 340 because I wouldn't have needed all the extra stuff and my 255 walbro took me to nearly 600rwhp on my boosted motor and I still had a perfect afr. This tells me that the 340 pump may have taken me to 700ish rwhp...

Thanks for the reply. The plan is to not spray more than 200. My converter was showing 15% slip at 7000rpm on the dyno so I'm probably closing in on the limits of the 255 already. I'll be sending the converter out for a restall this week and want to test it couple times before I throw nitrous at. I do however want to order a new pump and have it waiting to install with the nitrous kit when it goes on. Max hp I think this will ever see is 800 if I feel the need for more I'll jump on the boost band wagon and see how much **** I can blow up.

Ah if 800 is the future goal then you will probably need something bigger then a 340 and you will need an aftermarket regulator with a big single like a 450. Only other way is to run two pumps and put one off a hobbs switch. In that case you can run stock lines and regulator and just have the second pump come on WOT.

Running dual 255's was a thought because I have them and triggering the second pump with the nitrois controller. For simplicity reasons I'm going to go with the 340 and see where it gets me. If that isnt enought then I'll swith to a return system . Besides that if I use my nitrous controllers second stage to trigger a fuel pump how will I be able to say "I grabbed that second kit and drove right around his ***".
