2005 GTO fuel pressure
Trying to help a friend with his 2005 GTO. Car has an LS2 with heads, cam, FAST intake and a procharger. The fuel pump is stock GM with an MSD boost a pump voltage booster. Car has been street driven in this configuration for several years running around 60 psi fuel pressure. The feed wire to the boost a pump shorted against metal causing the 30 amp fuse to blow and fried the unit.
We removed the boost a pump and temporarily wired the fuel pump back to stock. Car fired right up but fuel pressure was only 35 psi. Installed a new Kenne bell boost a pump, started car again, still has only 35 psi. Also the gas gauge initially reads correct and then drops to empty and kicks on the low fuel level warning. Actual fuel level now is just under 1/2. Any ideas on where to look next?
