Default Fuel pump voltage drop at WOT

Recently I installed a new racetronix fuel pump kit in my 2001 camaro. Everything was going good when it was getting tuned until the car made around 400whp and I was losing voltage which was making the car go lean. It would lose voltage around 6000 rpm. All the grounds look good so I was thinking it may be that the alternator isn't strong enough for the fuel pump. Just seeing if anyone has had the same problem as I am having.

At higher rpm alternator might be challenged/failing.

Did you connect the pump wiring directly to the alternator? or did you use another point?

So what it seems that you are saying...without saying it. Is that your alternator may not be charging at high rpm.

Someone was explaining to me that some brushes lose contact with the slip rings at higher rpm...

I'm not sure of the details, I'll see if I can find out more.

Possible, but it does seem that some alternators are just problematic, whether it's brushes, regulators, or other internal parts.

There have been a few threads on similar problems and I've had it myself, but with no real reason as to why.
