Default burnt up 255

ive put maybe 200 miles on my 255lph while breaking in the clutch, easy miles since it was untuned.. and the top of the pump is turning white around the connector (originally purple)

I need to upgrade anyways! throwing it out and intalling an aeromotive 340

I have the racetronix upgraded harness to run this pump BUT do I just splice the red and black wire on this new pump into my original red and black wire on my fuel hat assembly???
^ only asking this because the connector the pump comes with wont plug into my fuel hat directly
thanks!

When did you get the 255 and where did you get it from? Also what hotwire harness did you use? Did it come with the new bulkhead connector?

Use the supplied pigtail IN THE TANK to supply enough voltage without burning anything else up. Factory pump wiring is only good for the factory pump and triggering hotwire relay IMO.

I had the racetronix hotwire kit and the fuse holder melted on a normal drive to get some food. Replaced with a marine grade fuse holder and higher quality fuse.
