Hot starting issues
I have an ls3 installed in my 55 Chevy that runs very well but the car is hard to start after I shut it off and try to restart it 5 - 10 minutes later. It usually requires cranking the ignition 2 or 3 times. The situation worsens on hot days so I think the engine bay temperature has a lot to do with the problem
The car starts instantly when cold. I have a walboro in tank fuel pump flowing into an Aeromotive filter then flowing into a Mallory fuel pressure regulator then flowing to a fuel rail. The regulator is near the tank at the back of the car so the return fuel line is short.
I read on line that a check valve stops hot start issues but I am not sure what type to use or where to place it.
Has anyone had similar problems and used a check valve as a cure.
I look forward to any feedback
