oh goodness sakes lol. List the entire build lol. I would check voltage at the pump during a pull.

out of curiosity, how would I check the voltage at the pump while doing a pull?

Put a buddy in the trunk with a volt meter

easier said than done when living out from majority of friends
with the caspers easy performance hotwire, wouldn't it technically boost the fuel pump voltage anyways? the voltage when I had scanned the car a few weeks ago, it was ~13.5-13.8v.

Its a way to make sure you don't have any large voltage drops or weak connections between the battery and the trunk. Like you said, you did the fuel pump and filter which are the main causes of fuel pressure dropping. I guess the regulator could be going, but haven't seen it on stock pumped car.

well, I placed an order for a fpr online and will see if that does the trick. i'm gonna install it on my walbro fuel pump assembly since it's out of the car already.

Stupid question. The fpr has a vac port on there, is there supposed to be anything connected to that port or its supposed to be left open?

You usually connect it to a vacuum/boost source like the intake manifold. Was much eaiser to tune my car when I had that connected.

Possibly for boost referencing? In which case it would be hooked to an intake manifold vacuum/pressure port

If you do connect the FPR to manifold reference, you would have to make your IFR table flat.

Also, after installing FPR, measure rail pressure (with FPR reference open) to make sure it's correct.

What do you mean for reference open?

The boost reference port that is sometimes hooked to manifold vacuum/boost.

You mean the fuel pressure at the rail via fuel pressure gauge? If so, then yes of course. I didn't get what you meant by 'fpr reference open'

update!
last week I placed an order for both a replacement walbro gss340 255lph and a fuel pressure regulator. with my spare walbro fuel pump assembly I swapped out the components then with that assembly swapped the oem fuel pump assembly that was currently in the car. went out for a drive and looks like the problems fixed. before I swapped the fp assemblies around, I tsted the fpr that was in the walbro and blew into the nipple port and air came out of the sides while the new fpr I couldn't even blow into it as it felt like an obstruction. I haven't tested blowing air into the oem fpr yet but i'll check when I get off work later today.

I need to retune and lean the maf table again but nonetheless, it feels great to see the AFR steady up to redline. feels great with the new 3600 stall too!

So i got 2 dtc codes 0327 and 0332 for both knock sensor banks. What are the chances i kinked the wires down? I was able to reach to the knock sensor connector that is hooked to the fuel rail and it's in tight. Will i need to replace the 2 sensors as well as the wiring harness? Damnit i will have to remove the intake manifold again.
