Virtual Flex Fuel Sensor - What is needed?
I've got a flex fuel 5.3 out of a 2012 Tahoe that I am turbocharging. Ive used all components that are rated for E-85.
From looking in HPTuners, it looks like this ECU has a Virtual Flex Fuel Sensor. I am using an aftermarket harness from PSI Conversions.
I plan on initially running it on 93 octane pump gas, but I'd like to be able to run E85 later.
What do I need to do to tune it for pump gas then let the Virtual sensor compensate for E85?

If you are doing boost then I’d recommend running an actual sensor because (short down and dirty) the pcm reads fuel trims after a fill up and guesstimates ethanol content on that. I added a flexfuel sensor to my Blazer and when I had the turbo on it was comforting seeing minimal fuel trims when I’d switch back to pump gas for road trips.
