I went with the pump manufacturer recommendation based on the horsepower of my engine. If you are worried about the loss of head pressure, go with a larger pump. The difference for me would have been about thirty dollars . . . not a lot of money. I'm not racing and went with the smallest pump and I am happy with the results.

I have a Racetronix 255 hot wire set up in my TA with a 416 and 57# injectors. It makes decent power at 517whp but I should probably have used a bigger fuel pump and ideally had bigger fuel lines. The Racetronix 225 can go to 600 whp in some applications. It's probably better to have a little more fuel pump than is needed.
