Looking for advice on fuel pressure regulator
I've been running a Professional Products 10641 fuel pressure regulator on the fuel rail of my NA LS6 swapped 84 Vette for years now. It worked great for a long time, but now it's started to allow the pressure to wonder. As I drive the car the pressure will slowly increase. Then if the car sits and cools off and I start it again the psi will be down to 40. So I'm assuming that the regulator is just worn out. I was going to buy the same one again but I figured I would ask for some recommendations here. That and I'm putting in a bigger motor with spray this winter and I might need a bigger regulator anyway.
So this will be the set up. LQ9 with a return style fuel system with a 450 in tank fuel pump. Trying to maintain 60 ish pounds of fuel. -8an feed and -6an return lines. I'll be running this with a progressive dry shot at some point. This is mostly a street car but do take it to 1/8 mile strip sometimes just for fun. Also I would like to start using flex so it would have to hold up to ethanol. Anyone have any suggestions that aren't stupid expensive?
