C16 or E85
Lq4 411, CP 10cc dome pistions, .026 head gasket, 68CC heads. My static compression is 14.2:1. My cam is a 247/257 110.5 lobe separation, 106.5 Centerline on intake side. If I did my math right that comes out to 11.31 Dynamic compression. I am torn between running e85 or buying 116 Octane from VP or Renegade. I know I am on the limit with my static compression with E85 but since my Dynamic compression is quite a bit lower I shouldn't have as many issues. Pros or Cons of each fuel?
You can run 100% Methanol cheaper than C16. Or at least its that way in my part of the country..And the methanol in a steel drum stores well and doesn't go bad.. E100 is the same, usually if you can buy E85
the same fuel distributor has E100 at their yard, and its relatively inexpensive compared to race gas. Especially
if they are setup to fill drums. Whether you run E100 or Methanol, use a quality top end lube in the fuel to protect the
system. You'll want the fuel system set up so you can easily drain it completely,
