Default 99 Camaro SS will not start

Hi all. My Camaro started stumbling on acceleration. I assume it is a fuel issue. It finally died and will not start. No pressure at the rail. When I turn on the key, I do hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds.

Troubleshooting:
I removed the nearly new fuel filter and it did have some gas in it. I blew on one end of the filter and fuel blew out the other end, so it does not seem clogged up.
While the fuel filter was out, I turned on the key and did hear the fuel pump run for a few seconds but no fuel shot out of the fuel line where the filter would plug into. Also, the fuel pump is only a year old.

Since the pump is running, why is it not pumping fuel (oh yes, there is fuel in the tank)? Would it be the pressure regulator on the pump? Anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks everyone.

It's definitely possible the pump is shot even though you hear it kick on. There are other parts that need to work properly outside of the motor. I would pull and inspect.

Has the fuel filter been changed?

Long ago wife's Grand Am would stumble, cut off then eventually crank. Was the fuel filter. It was nearly blocked.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, the fuel filter has been changed. Thanks Tyler, I was afraid it might be the pump even though it probably has less than 200 miles on it. I'll pull it and see.
Thanks.

Am I right that with the fuel filter off and the fuel line open, if I turn the key on and hear the pump that it SHOULD shoot fuel out of the line? Right?

I don't see why it wouldn't. It should spew gas... some guys do this to empty their bad fuel. I personally don't recommend that as running the pump dry is not good for it.

Yes it should shoot fuel out of the line. I have seen a good pump but the line from the pump to the fuel lines was cracked in tank. So pump was ok. So key on and no fuel out of the line. Remove the pump and check.
