Snake Eater Injectors NOT WORKING I'm new posting here but felt compelled to relay my experience with Snake Eater 1500 injectors....
I have a '05 Silverado with 6.0 + turbo + E85. I bought a set of SEP 1500 after maxing out factory decapped injectors. With in a month or so after installing the injectors, one completely stopped working. I called SEP and after providing them an explanation and some basic information they sent out a new injector at no cost.
Then the truck was not used much for about 1 year while I replaced the motor and worked on some other projects.
A month or so ago I started getting the truck ready to race in the spring and the AFR readings were fluctuating from one extreme to the other so I decided to pull and test the injectors on my flow bench. At first 3 of 8 injectors did not work. I tested them a second time a few days later...and 2 of the 3 bad ones worked but then quit working while I was running fuel through them. As of today, none of the bad injectors do anything...no noise, no vibration, nothing. They have less than 1000miles on them.
So I'm out $500 with 4 of 9 total injectors not working.
I see a lot of people promoting SEP on you tube and in forums...so I just wanted to relay my experience. Buyer beware

Ouch. I’ve set my own rule about running E. Use it at the track and make sure it’s all used up within a day or two. Put gasoline in when the vehicle just sits. It dries out your fuel lines and also attracts moisture. Currently using FIC 1650’s that have stainless internals. Cost more but should be one and done if taken care of. Also comes with data.

E85 varies a LOT around the country, it would be real easy to get a load of stuff that had the wrong additive package in it..
Run a top end alcohol fuel lube in the fuel if its not a daily, it helps keep stuff from getting stuck, like injectors and regulators..
Keeps the alcohol from attracting water. I've used Klotz, (No relationship it just worked good in our sprint cars with methanol. )
I believe Trick sells a version as well.
There are good reasons light planes are not heavily converted to blended fuel yet.

Like said, I also do not drain my E85 out, or "pickle" the fuel with unleaded, ever. My car sits for as long as 4 months at a time, and more recently, a month at a time. Never had an issue with the old 1000cc SEP's, or the Bosch's.
Funny how every once in a while, some random "good samaritan" joins, claiming to want to look out for us all, and share his bad experience with SEP, only to never visit, reiterate, or post here ever again...well, not under the fake user name, and fake stories, anyway.
