Holley efi question 5.7 ls1
new here this is my first post .. I'm doing a ls1 swap on my 71 nova. I have a 5.7 aluminum block out of a 2001 camaro ss that I'm getting rebuilt... I wanted to go holley efi... I'm leaning twords the terminator x stealth .. I'm wondering to I absolutely have to get the LS version of it or can I get the universal one they offer ? I want that one because I wana throw it on the nova now with the 350 small block and 200 4r trans then later swap thr ls but still use the same efi.. might throw in a 4l80e trans
Are you going to run the throttle body on the LS1 or switch to MPFI ?
You'll need to get the Terminator X Max control the 4l80E.
My honest opinion, Yes you could make it work either by running the stealth on the 350 and then buying a carb style intake and running the stealth on the LS engine but you're going to give up MPFI, Or you can buy the harness for the LS1 and use Terminator X ECU that you would already have. Neither is that ideal when you could save some money and just buy the system designed for the LS1 once you get it put it and run the 350 as it already is.

Not practical at all. You would have to put a complete injection system on the old engine, then trash the LS1 system to adapt the Holley system to the LS1? Not a good idea, and a lot more expensive than just putting the Holley ECU on the LS1 with its own original injection system.

yes I wanted to keep the throttle body setup on the ls aswell I had this purchased was supposed to ship April 29th now it says July 29th .. so I canceled number https://www.holley.com/products/fuel...parts/550-1012 the holley tech on phone said I'd be able to use this with my 350 / 200 r4 setup and with my ls1 4l80e setup is that correct ? Just sux not in-stock...
