Default Creating my dual Hellcat pump setup.

My dual Racetronics 340's are not able to keep up with my Bosch 210#, E85, BW S480 5.3 above 6,000 at 19psi. A buddy of mine told me about his dual Hellcat (525 Lph each?) setup. I ordered the pumps from Summit( cheap price is somewhat misleading if you buy on the assumption that everything that comes with other pumps will be in the box. All you get is the pump. No filter sock, no 'male' pigtail for the female pump connector). Remembering from prior pump setups, I knew I'd need some 'straws'. I had several of the 6" or so ones left over but I went to ee if any other/newer straws were out there. Yep, 16" long too. Plenty of length to allow more mounting options.

Just be aware that hellcat pumps don't like to be run constant duty and they are designed for PWM.

Please tell more. The pump itself is not robust, or just that it is going to heat the fuel a bunch if run at full tilt for a while, or........? Thanks. I'm also looking at such setup, running one as primary and the second as spare (boat). Likely VaporWorx or my own PWM controller, but still intersted if a genuine Ti / Walbro pump is not up to stock OE durability? I think it claims to be.....?

The pump is very robust, it was just designed to be modulated and not run at constant duty cycle. Yes it heat up the fuel quickly along with the pump itself and there have been plenty of reports of failures from people who decided to just run it at full tilt all the time.

Are you talking specifically about the Hellcat 525 pumps?

Just curious as I run dual Walbro 450's and after a spirited street drive, or a dragstrip pass, my rails are cool to the touch...but I do run straight pump flex fuel. (Which always tests at 80% or better)

Yes the Hellcat 525 pumps specifically, the 450s are perfectly fine at constant duty but I still wouldn't be running two of them full time and would only have the 2nd turn only when needed.

I think I've just been a bit paranoid with staged pumps after blowing an engine with a Hobbs switch activated methanol kit that malfunctioned.
