Injectors or connectors

I've got a 2001 gmc 4.8 Vortec (LR4), bone stock. Because I'm having a fuel pressure issue (another story) and to eliminate possibilities, I bought a set of injectors, same part number (25317628) as the old ones, but they're not the same. The old injectors have a deeper connector receptical than the new ones. I've been searching for new connectors, but can't find any connector spec's. The dilemma is what do I change, connectors or injectors? The cost almost equals out, but I don’t want to run into the same situation. Who’s run into this situation and what was your fix? Part numbers would be helpful.

They should be the same. Multec 2 connector is multec 2 connector. Are the seals doubled up? I would just put the original injectors back in and return the ones you bought.

Cheapest solution; return the ones you bought, have the ones you own sent out for flow testing and ultrasonic cleaning.

If they were the same, I wouldn't have posted and it's obvious, there are 2 styles of Multec 2 connectors.

I paid $44 for 8 new ACDelco injectors, free shipping. I don't think flow testing & cleaning 160+ k miles , 21 year old injectors is cost efficent.

Really? They usually last a LOT longer....

It would be helpful if you show pictures of your injectors.

Go to www.mouser.com and search for micro-pack 064 connectors. Filter for female, 2 position and you'll see all the types of Multec connectors they sell.
