Fuel rail size question
So I got a good deal on a Pro Flo intake and I didn’t even realize the rail size was -6an. I’m shooting for 1200-1300 Rwhp on e85 for my turbo set up. Gonna be running Bosch 210s, triple Walbro 450s, and planned to run -8 or -10an feed and return. Engine is a built 5.3, stock bore. Anyone think the -6an pro flo fuel rails will hold me back ?
Why would you do -6 rails when you are trying to achieve that much power?
It takes A LOT of E85 to make that much power.
No, no I would not use -6 rails. I'd do -8 with ORB fittings to get the best flow
I'm sure you will get some people in here saying they've made 1200 on stock rails or some **** like that though.
I'd do -10 from the pumps to a Y in the engine bay,
-8 from the Y to the front of the rails,
-8 out the back of the rails to the regulator
-8 return to the tank.
IMO, and that's all it is an opinion. That's the "right way" to run the lines on something you want to make big power on. Both rails get full pressure/volume from the pumps and will help eliminate bank to bank fueling problems.
I'm a big advocate of over building the fuel system so you only have to do it once.

I agree. I find it kind of stupid imo to undersize fuel. The cost difference between -6 and -8 is virtually nothing in the scheme of things. Buy once cry once. Then if you want to wick it up, change fuels, whatever, it's there.
