Default Factory Feed as return question?

tried searching this with no avail... Using the Factory feed line as a return possibly, when doing this you block off the T/factory return with the Russell 648070(or like) and a cap, do you remove the stock filter? or does the flow just reverse through the filter? If flow just reverses I intend on changing the filter, just trying to verify so I can get this thing buttoned up. thanks!

Anyone? Main concern is if the filter media will invert and cling to the walls of the case and plug the filter... otherwise I can just put in another quick connect and take it out. Just curious what everyone else has done?

I just did this with my car. I did run it a couple times with the filter still in the line and didnt notice anything.

I then removed the filter and bought these parts along with a piece of 3/8" fuel line. Worked great. No leaks.

You can leave the filter but put a new one in so you don't flush the used one out back into the tank.
