Splitting out wiring from fuel pump connector
Greetings all! Need some wiring help please
02 Trans Am, moving to a sumped tank and external fuel pump. Fuel level sending unit (40-250 stock ohm) wants two wires
the pump wants a power and a ground,
and am working with this connector:
In the connector, I have Purple, Gray, Black, and Black/White wires. I need to separate the two wires for the fuel level sending unit from the two for the pump.
Questions:
1) Which two go to the fuel pump? Which is hot / ground?
2) Which two go to the fuel level sending unit? Which is hot / ground? I was also told the order on this doesn't matter, since it's just reading resistance.
Any help anyone can provide is greatly appreciated. Tired of paying people to work on my stuff, so I'm trying to learn some new things
Thanks!
- Matt
