I bought a motor needing rebuilt. Goal is 500 crank HP

Upon pulling the injectors I discovered they are 1000cc or 100lb

so, correct me if I’m wrong but that’s way too much for a 500hp NA motor no juice…

I figure #42 is more than enough to keep me well under 80% duty cycle

 

What do you mean by "they are way to much"

Are they bigger than what you need for your power goals? Yes.

What brand of injectors are they?

Some bigger injectors have problems at idle/ low pulsewidths which makes them hard to control and idle quality suffers. However, if they are alot of injectors that size that have no problems.
