Small patch for fuel return line?

Small patch for fuel return line? Hey all, yesterday while doing some body work I unfortunately melted a small section of my return fuel line, the car had no gas in it so I wasn’t as careful as I should have been. It’s just past the quick release by the driver seat, at the beginning of where it starts to run parallel to the sill. Just wondering what my options are, do I have to replace the whole thing or can I just snip out the bad section and insert some sort of plastic/metal connector? Recommendations on where I can buy a replacement or patch kit? Also I’m sure I could find it online or by searching around but what is the diameter of the return line? Any help is much appreciated!

Any parts store will carry a plastic fuel line repair kit. They're said to not be repairable, but I have done the same thing ( melted lines, only I had one hell of a fire when mine happened ) and I was able to splice together the lines.
