Gm. B body 71-76 impala/caprice ls3 swap
Building a 72 impala ls3 swap no matter where I look no one has a fuel injection gas tank for these cars.
Contacted tanks Inc. No plan to Maine which is sad.
Heard their 72 chevelle tank works with my swap but no confirmation
Heard 91-96 caprice/ss impala tanks work but no confirmation and what in tank pump and sending unit for the ls3
If anyone knkws benefit of any tank or a builder or any info on sump and any other application besides drilling the holes and adding that baffle drop in method or rail. Please share running only 575-600rwhp want a in tank setup.

Talk to Lance from Pantera EFI on here and he can probably set you up with a surge tank to help you convert over easier. If you're not familiar they basically get fed like a carb bowl from the stock tank. Then the high pressure pump mounts in it to pump fuel and also gives a place to return fuel from the regulator.

that's the drill sponge method I don't want. Appreciate it but I want a fuel injection tank that's why I was wondering if the 72 chevelle tanks inc tank is a good option and if anyone has done it with pics I know it's a little smaller put i keep hearing it works but no info. I've seen people put the 96 impala tank on a 72 chevelle. Nothing on the 71-76 b body and it's a real popular swap but guys I ask just buy expensive ricks or modify there's. I just can't see spending 1600 for a gas tank unless your racing or its some complete rebuild they charge that kind of money for a restore mod.

Didn't reread your first post or remember it.
Order the other tank and return if it doesn't work? You should be able to at least find the size you can clear and ask the people who make it how big the other one is before trying it.
Pay someone to build you a custom tank from scratch? You could pay someone to make you a bucket from scratch not sure what it is about the one that goes in from the top you don't like, so if it's the foam a bucket? If it's the do it yourself then watch a video on it as the kit is real easy and almost anyone could do it.
