Default Regulator line and return routing

I will be installing a 408 stroker in my 81 Z and I’m trying to figure out the best most efficient way to setup my return style regulator. I’ve seen quite a few different ways but am thinking of plumbing it something like in the attached picture. Does anyone see a problem with this or have a better way? I will be running an in-tank sniper pump and an Aeromotive A1000 regulator most likely mounted on the firewall. Thanks for the help and any suggestions.

If you end up with enough room, that is the preferred way of plumbing. If you plan to track the car, check if mounting the regulator on the firewall is allowed.

The more I look at my engine bay, it’s going to be tight. Could I run it this way instead and be ok? I know the pic in my first post would be optimal but I just might not have the room

I just made 788hp on a engine dyno with this set up. Fuel in 1 fail and out the other . No issues, other way is better but honestly this works fine

Same setup here. I could not find room to Y everything before and after. In and out loop works fine. I have my post pump fuel filter directly in front of the inlet to the rails, just so if any fuel line degradation occurs, hopefully the filter will keep it out of my rails and injectors.

Mine is like the first one, it splits under the truck and regulator is on the firewall beside brake booster. Ive also seen my tuner do many vehicles the same way as mine is done and he eliminates one line by putting the regulator directly on the front of one of the fuel rails then just runs a short line from it to the other side.
