Default BAP Sensor

Is it better to install the boost a pump pressure sensor to the small vacuum/pressure line at the back of the intake manifold or install it directly to the intake manifold? I would tend to think that installing it directly to the intake manifold would give a more accurrate reading of the pressure that is going into the cylinders. TIA
