Default Will Walbro GSL394 Inline 190lph Pump support 400 hp?

My son and I are dropping an LS1 into his 1970 GMC pickup. We are going to use a stock tank with an inline pump. Will the subject pump support a 400 hp LS1? The graph shows it will put out 35 gph at 60 psi.

Nobody knows this? I guess to be safe I'll buy the 255 high pressure pump.

Glenn-

Assuming a BSFC of .5#/HP, the 190LPH should be adequate.

Having said that, I'd recommend the 255LPH Walbro pump for the safety margin and future upgrades.

I bought mine here-

Ed at Arizona TPI also stocks them- 717 S Hacienda Dr, 104, Tempe. He has a good assortmet of fittings and filters too.

You read my mind. I also went through the numbers using .5 bsfc and got 33 gph. The 190 puts out 35 gph at 12 volts, so there is no margin. We are going to get a 255.

Thanks,
Glenn
