Fuel tank/cell install in bed
Weekend before last I had a driveshaft come out from under my truck . It beat up on the tank and lots of other stuff pretty bad. The heat shield on the tank is beat up and looks like it cut on the plastic a little bit when it smashed into the tank.
Anyways, I'm thinking of putting a fuel cell in the bed, maybe a 20 gallon cell. I was wondering if I can get some AN fitting on the stock lines about where they go from the tank into the frame rail.
I've got a Walbro GS390 I think it is in front of the in tank pump. What kind of HP would this setup support? Currently I'd say I'm running ~425 to the wheels but eventually plan on a nice 408.
Any insight would be helpful.

Funny, my driveshaft let go about a week ago, beat the **** out of my heat shield and tank as well, I think my tank looks ok though. I'm gonna roll with it that way though. I only get about 10 miles to the gallon, so I need every bit of space.

I got a 20 gal. RCI cell from Summit for a little under $300. Sumped, baffled, sending unit, vent and return fittings, etc. It shouldn't be too hard to adapt your stock lines to the 8AN fittings.

You can get some hard tube adapters to convert the lines to AN fittings. I got mine from Street + Performance, but Jegs and Summit have them as well. I had a '00 Silverado, but I can't remember off the top of my head how the fuel system is set up at the tank..or how the lines are composed I mean. Probably very similar to the F-body's.
