Always replace the feed pump you will never pull more fuel than the intank pump can give. An inline pump can not pull through an intank. It will help keep pressure up but not supply more volume.
A sumped inline is by far the way to go on big demand setups.

So why does ATI sell an Inline pump with their kit using the stock intank pump. The pressure go up to 120psi when using a inline pump with a stock intank pump. So from what you saying upgrading the intank fuel pump is a must before you do anything with the fuel system right?
