Default Relocated Fuel EVAP n Speed inc Rails (PICS)

I just picked up some Speed Inc rails cause they were on sale and installed them. They look Awesome accept for the stupid EVAP solenoid there on the valve cover.

I did not want to remove the EVAP so I decided to relocate it. Tell me what ya think

The solenoid is now attached to the fuse box and out of the way. Just needed some 5/16 hose and extended the harness for the solenoid.
Took about 30 minutes to do.

Default EVAP Solenoid...

What are the consequences of eliminating the EVAP solenoid & lines? Would the computer need to be programmed to delete this? Thanks, Gar

looks real nice.. i relocated mine to the trash can.

i dont notice any adverse effects other than removing codes.

i have the charcoal canister removed, the gas tank pressure sensor removed, the entire evap system removed (including line from front to back of car)

..i guess there is a hint of a fuel smell now but nothing that bothers me... not worth all that crap

Nice, I was just fixing to ask if I had to put all that crap back on the car. My intake looks so nice and clean without all that junk up there. I will be installing new rails, new feed, and new return, along with a sumped tank. I didn't think there would be any adverse effects as long as you got it tuned.

Did you just cut and solder in extensions?

Is that a stretched SLP bellows? I bought the airflo systems bellows, but I'd like to retain my SLP bellows...it looks nicer. BTW, thanks for the help!

LOL try a "Ported" SLP Bellows. I had to take an exacto knife to it and shave it out to make the ID large enough to stretch it on there.

It fits Awesome tho.

Oh! I almost forgot. The TB on the LSX is angled different than the stocker. I had to cut the TB end of the bellows at an angle to get it to line up with the MAF so the LID would fit properly.

You will see what I am talkin about. It will take some test fitting and cutting to get it to work. In the end it works very nicely. Alot better than the cheaper bellows I have installed on other cars with these intakes.
