Default new injectors

This isn't ls1 related, but its got to do with fuel injectors. I'm helping a friend install a s'charger kit on his 99 Mitsubushi 3000gt. We don't have all the parts in, but he wants to install a walboro fuel pump and bigger injectors since he has them. My concern is that he doesn't have the electronics to tell the efi system its got bigger injectors. My gut tells me that its a bad idea becasue he'll be pissing way to much fuel in and i'm not sure thats a good thing. Would too much fuel cause deposits to build up in the engine, or maybe run too hot, ruin the cats etc? He'd maybe drive it a week like that before the new ecm comes in... Do you think it would hurt anything??

I wish I knew. I'm helping this guy because he really doesn't know what he's doing. All he knows is that the new injectors are 310cc, but no idea on the flow rate. I'm did not get involved with helping him decide on what parts to get mostly because I have no idea when it comes to mitsubushi stuff. I'm basicly the one w/ mechanical knowledge and the grunt.

Wouldnt recommend running the car until you get the Programmed PCM for it. Its not worth it.

Plus if you're too rich for too long you run the risk of washing the piston walls.

I'd skip on the injectors and run the pump with a boost-a-pump.

Put in an Apexi-AFC controller. Then you can adjust the AFR to anything you
want. We use them all the time.
