Thumbs up Racetronix pump installed

Since I already had the rear out I bit the bullet and decided to drop the tank to install the Racetronix plug n play pump. The installation of the pump was the easy part, but getting the tank in and out was a ****. Hooked everything up and the fuel gushes out now compared to the stock pump.

Yes. I had the rear out to install a 12 bolt. I could only imagine how hard it would be (if not impossible) to do it with the rear end in place.

I had the rear in place when I did mine just unbolt the shocks at the rear and let it drop all the way down. A little tight but it'll work

lol

Was it a PITA because you still had gas in the tank maybe? I'd drive the car untill its almost empty before I'd bother to drop the thing! 1 gallon = 7lbs or something like that.

No, the tank was almost empty (1/2 gal.).. Just getting the fuel lines back in the original position with out a kink was the problem. All good, just undid the hose at the fuel filter and after that, the fuel line slid right up with out a kink.. A learning experince.

all i know is that the 98 pump cant be nearly as bad as doing the pump on my 89

i took the panhard bar off and unbolted the shocks and moved the exhaust and it was still a bitch

Did you guys clean out your tanks when you did the swap, as Racetronix recommends? If so, how did you clean it? Soap and water?

Thanks,
somebody
