Default '98 Racetronix Fuel pump owners:

My instructions didn't mention anything about all the extra wiring harness, relays, etc. The instructions only included the main pump install and pump power wiring install. Do I even need the extra harnesses, connections, and relays, etc?
Thanks,
Wes

Probably dont NEED the extra harness but it will get more voltage to the pump instead of using of using the skinny little stock wire. I didnt get any instructions for the wiring either, I ran the big wire to the main fusebox on the pass side, they recommend running it to the alternator, and just plugged the harness in. I didnt use the extra ground wire they suppliedm the car already has a 1 or 2 gauge wire from the battery to the body.

How did you run the wire to the engine bay? Did you run it along the fuel lne or through the car?? I was thinking of coming into the car running under the carpet and then through the firewall. I am not crazy about extra wires running underneath the car.

Run it alongside the fuel line and secure with the enclosed zipties. I connected the positive to the fuse box and did use the ground strap also.

Default wiring harness

So would I just have a less pressure running the stock wiring?

How much RWHP will the stock fuel pump wiring hold to? I know this is a vague question but any info would be great. I don't want to run the extra wire if I don't need to.

Thanks,
Wes

Install the harness. It takes all of 20-30 minutes to do and will guarantee maximum pump performance.
