I have never seen anything higher than 91, but have heard rumors of some 76 stations with 92.

what octane do you use? first day with the LS1 and for my first time filling up I'm wondering what octane to use...
in the stang I could use 87-89..
I'm assuming though with the 10:1 compression I'd have to use 93 though....

i get kr with 91, 93 runs like a dream, now that i moved to montreal, quebec, its crappy 91!! probably like an 87 grade in the states! thats what it seems like!

make sure that your PCM is tuned for 91 octane. there are several mail order tuners who will turn it around in 1 day as well as give you 20 more rwhp over the stock tune. if you tune for 91 you can buy gas anywhere without performance problems.

The best we have around Omaha is 91, so I use it. I've tried mid-grade and regular. Both make the car rough and troublesome. Surging, hesitation, and shuddering are common. I quit using them.
Still, it's cheaper than driving my truck...
